Clemson leads UNC 24-17 at Halftime in Death Valley

The North Carolina Tar Heels trail the Clemson Tigers 24-17 in Death Valley, South Carolina.

Despite the total yardage for both teams being nearly equal (Clemson 222 to UNC 221 total yards), the Tar Heels only trail by 7 points after turning the ball over 3 times. Clemson had zero turnovers in the first half.

Give the North Carolina Tar Heels Defense a ton of credit for Clemson only getting 2 offensive TD’s and a FG when the Clemson offense spent most of the 1st Half in Tar Heel territory with a chance to score. One of Clemson’s touchdowns came on a interception for a score.

The rushing game for both teams have struggled, with Carolina rushing for just 49 yards and Clemson only 15 yards in the first half. Tar Heel RB Giovani Bernard appears to be struggling from injuries sustained in last week’s loss to Miami.
